My guess is PSA and Envoy will get Mesa’s American flying out of DFW eventually. Similar to how Air Wisconsin was phased out in just 3-4 months last year.

Not sure. Air Wisconsin owned their airplanes though and American still got rid of them. We have the staffing to take on 20-30 more airplanes almost immediately. If this hiring rate continues it’ll be a piece of cake come next spring. Whether it’s Mesa birds or new orders... we have the staffing. Especially, if Envoy takes some Mesa flying also. I don’t know why else we have so many pilots. Starting DFW flights in January adds to my suspicion as well.

Some people think we’re overstaffed because the company wants to get ready for a flow increase, but I don’t think that will matter. Even if they increase the flow it’ll be a wash. If flow goes to 15 or whatever, it will actually help retain pilots as much as it will hurt staffing. More junior people will be willing to stay and/or get lazy with updating their apps like the senior pilots. I don’t think increasing flow will change staffing levels.

As of August round 1, Master seniority list shows 1970, vacancy shows 1917. Company flow sheet is also different. What bid file are you referencing? Psa is terrible with seniority lists. I have at least 3 seniority numbers all wildy different.

Did it say what base? What I have heard is that PSA will pick up some of the Mesa flying in DFW, Envoy will get the bulk of it with new 175s, and SkyWest will pick up the rest out of PHX.

Because AA has a huge mega hub there... they said on the call as usual that they will know 90 days before the aircraft go in service. My guess is PHX or DFW.. the 2 SkyWest are taking this fall are confirmed DFW.

I was thinking perhaps the MSP-ORD or MSP-DCA. Just said it wouldn’t surprise me since OO has a base there and republic does not.
