Well, except for some of the highest pay in the industry and quality of life / schedule flexibility unmatched in the rest of industry (including the legacies) if you’re a line-holder.

I made as much as one of my buddies who is a senior RAH Captain this year and I averaged as many or more days off most months. Maybe I got lucky or maybe flow or not PSA isn’t all that bad...

...and rarely more than a single MEL with close to zero cancellations due to maintenance.

I'll echo that, its easy to pile on in the gripe threads.

Overall, I'm happy with PSA. Of course I wish flow rate was higher, scheduling was... not scheduling, etc, etc, but as a commuter with SAP I've got little complaints.

Rarely have MEL's as the 900s are all pretty nice shape, some of the Envoy 700s can be a little rough, the 200s just need to go away yesterday (sorry to the 3 people that like them).

Hotels are good to great, sometimes run into other airline crews at overnight locations and their hotel selection isn't as nice.

I'm NOT saying these are reasons someone should choose PSA just saying in some regards compared to others, we got it ok.

I didn't hate the 200 in the winter. Mels or not they weren't too hot.

I enjoyed the delays/cancels made 10 leg 4 days into 5 leg 4 days all the time. Of course I was a tight ass with writing things up on them. I know some people brush things off because they are so broken.

Default PHL base

How attainable is PHL base out of training. Have interviews with GoJet, C5, XJET, PDT and PSA, however not sure if I would be able to get PHL out of training. I live close to EWR but don't mind driving to PHL.

What are your thoughts on interviewing with PSA?

Each new hire class has been sending people to PHL for quite some time now. So it is possible to get it on your initial bid. You'll be on reserve for a little so just know short call out is 2 hours from the time they call you. So if you could do that from where you live it's better than commuting.

Wouldn't hurt to apply and interview.

Heard a recent rumor that PHL would grow significantly this year. Go to an interview & ask.
