Default Interview logbook format

I have an interview with PSA coming up. My paper logbook isn't the prettiest thing to look at. My electronic logbook is a very nicely done Excel spreadsheet that I have spent hundreds of hours on and it is printed and bound for the interview.

In one of the emails I received from PSA it had a link to an article about how to present your logbook in an interview.
https://www.boldmethod.com/learn-to-...r-every-pilot/
In the article it states that they highly recommend not using a Excel spreadsheet in an interview.

I do have my logbook on Fltplan GO that I can print out but there print format looks ugly in my opinion. Should I just go with the Fltplan GO logbook because its a known user interface, and the interviewers know that there isn't an error with its calculations?

Do I need to scramble and get Foreflight or Logten for my Interview? I rely don't want to screw up my interview, flying for PSA would be a dream come true for me.

The typical problem with excel logbooks is that they are not formatted correctly and do not have all of the required columns. Also, it is usually not possible to sign each page with excel logbooks, as is typical.

FAR 61.51 spells out what is required in a logbook, and what must be logged for it to be correct and acceptable.

Bring what you have and do your best to make sure that you are following FAR 61.51. They will want to see each page signed, and the same columns and basic formatting that you would have in a traditional style logbook.

When you print out a LogTen or Foreflight logbook do you sign each page?

I plan to both original and printed copy of logbook to my interview. In need the original for all the legal signatures, but I want to communicate to the interviewer that while my logbook is messy I am committed to a more professional logging of time moving forward.

Yes, each page needs to be hand signed in LogTen. It looks just like a traditional Jeppesen logbook when printed.

If you are planning on going to a major airline later, might be a good idea to just bite the bullet and import it into a real logbook software program at some point and have it right.

I concur with this, the sooner you bite the bullet and move over to an actual electronic logbook software, the easier it will be on you for your future interviews.

I would recommend either Logbook Pro or Logten Pro moving forward. I didn’t care for ForeFlight logbook function very much.

Yes. Just upload what you have into a real logbook program and you will be all set for the future.

I realized I was stepping over a dollar to pick up a dime. I went ahead and got
Foreflight and uploaded my times. Have had a couple issues I'm flushing out but I should be done with it soon.

Should I still bring both logbooks to the interview? I'm assuming I need to bring my paper logbook because it has all my sighnoffs.

Bring both and make sure to have your paper logbook tabbed! Best of luck

I'm getting ready to print out my logbook and bind it. It looks like Foreflight offers two print options.

Condensed: Fits on one page but doesn't show things like class of aircraft, & landings.

Complete: Displays class and landings but each entry spans two pages, so to see an entire entry you need to turn the page.

I'm leaning towards the complete format because....well its more complete, but I could see it being annoying for an interviewer to have to flip back and forth to view one log entry.

Any suggestions?
