PSA 2024 Class Dates..
 

Hello, I have been in the cadet program since last May, CJO last November with ATPCTP scheduled for this month and Class next month until I got the email delayiong me into March. I was wondering if anyone else is in the same boat due to the captain hiring. Should I be concerned that they will delay me again? Should I consider the sister companies like Piedmont or Envoy? TY :)

Go to whoever gets you a sooner class date

Seems like were all in the same boat. I was never even given a class date with my CJO (end of december, cadet sense mid 2022) , just a TBD. Envoy and Piedmont from my experence is not looking at non cadets. Athlough im a 1550 CFI, the least in demand pilot there ever was.

Are there any additional developments with regard to this FO back up? Got a CJO with a TBD as well and don't have any additional information since December... I did reach out to HR, well responses have been silent as well. The only thing I heard is that about 20+ DECs came in the last class but nothing much.

DEC will always have priority. so as long as there is DEC wanting to be there FO's will get bumped from class

There are supposedly no classes past March 2024. They're waiting to get people who originally had Dec/Jan classes caught up. It's mostly people shuffling to make room for DECs and CA upgrades. It's good for us long term. I also heard a rumor there was a bad COVID outbreak in the training department sometime before Christmas. They're trying to get those people who were sick back in the mix as well. I had 1/15 originally, but got moved to 2/26. I'm hopeful it sticks. I do think they are trying to make Cadets a priority.

From what you heard, are they going to have classes past March 2024 at some point soon? I am looking to hit mins by april and I was hoping it was not gonna be a huge delay. I am a cadet.

They should have classes past March once things get caught up. I don't have a crystal ball, but I think things should work out well for you.

I'm sure there's a plan for training months in the future, but it's not a reliable one.

Captain supply, instructor supply, etc will all make the decision to run a particular class changeable every day. Plan for long delays and little reliable information - you may be pleasantly surprised.
