Bose.. A20 is a little heavy for long legs. Proflight is great, more background noise than the over ear Bose but you get used to it. Much more comfortable

You should go with your favorite headset. You don't need anything special for the CRJ or even noise cancelling. I use a DC Pro 2 (~$335) and it works great. I hate it about once a month when I have it on for seven hours or have a three hour leg. As an added bonus, I haven't had to carry or deal with batteries dying on takeoff for the past three years.

Depends on what you want to lug around for 3-4 legs per day, changing airplanes twice per day (or more). The Bose pro-flight is nice, but the case is cumbersome and take up a lot of room. Some of the new DC are small and lightweight. But it is personal preference. I have seen everything from the old school vice-grip style DC to Bose A20/A30 to Bose ProFlight. Whatever works best for you.

I transitioned to the QC45 with UFlyMike setup as a CFI knowing I can adapt it to the airliner one day. Anyone else have experience with this at the airlines? I figure this way I also have a nice set of headphones for travel as well.
