Found some info to confirm they did come from Europe; Irish regional called CityJet. Also says they're destined to support more growth in DFW

They better hurry up with that new terminal then. DFW is full.

The entire gate check thing with the crjs has gotten old and is a big inconvenience to most pax, especially on tight connections.Yet they still add more while delta and UA are steadily reducing the crjs or converting to 550s , so no more gate checks.
Pax waiting outside in the heat at some places , or in an extremely hot jet bridge in the summer or a very cold one in the winter.
Great job AA

AAG ordered 90 175s. In the meantime they have a large pilot group at PSA already trained on the CRJ plus gates that can't accommodate 175s. The transition out of 50 seaters is the first priority, then they can start working on going all Embraer. That's inevitable since they aren't making any new CRJs but until then it makes a lot of economic since to fully utilize the existing fleet/pilots/parts and purchase low cycle ones in the used market. There aren't very many left.

Is Delta shutting down Endeavor? I thought that would be bigger news if true.

Next Gens are equipped as standard with two FMS and VNAV. Having two FMS is way more convenient than a single installation, and PSA has LPV approach approval - which is only available in the VNAV aircraft. LPV approaches are way better than LNAV!

There are about a dozen old -700s with single FMS/no VNAV and about 25 other -700s with dual FMS/no VNAV. The rest of the -700s, and all the -900s are Next Gens with both.
