They must have come from an aviation university then. Is'nt there some loophole for that which lowers TT requirement to like 1000TT?

To the tune of 10 days off yet only a 72 hour garuntee, 5 days on 2/3 off 14 hr reserve periods. Terrible first year pay and $1.40 per diem. They either don't use you, or use you up to 71.9 hours. Oh and did I mention the 3 days of 10 hour hot reserve periods?

ZW. Our reserve is near that with a just couple things more advantageous.. In the end, we're all stuck in the east cactus patch.

Yeah, when these guys complain about reserve, they are not exaggerating by any means. It really is terrible. I spent roughly my first 2 years on reserve and can personally vouch for how it is described.

After 5 years here, things have certainly improved for me. 14-15 days off, 90ish hour credit at $39 and some change/hr. All commutable trips. Its shouldn't take this long for someone to stop hating their job, but unfortunetly it does here. Hopefully we can get a new contract soon that would ease the pain for JR guys.

Yeah man I hear ya. I personally cannot speak of an experience like that. I spent much less time on reserve and have equitable pay on 2nd year of service. Bid about the same type stuff, but not all commutable.. I'm just envious of yalls CLT domicile..

I think all the USEX guys and gals (wholly owned and not) are on the same page with lengthy negotiation periods and the need to come out of the concessionary decade that has passed... Our companies should be good places to work, but unfortunately it's becoming tougher to convince someone that they are... All of us have value. I stand behind you guys as you wade through negotiations.

Yes, CLT is probably one of the only beneficial aspects of PSA vs. some other carriers. The most JR line holder can hold all commutable trips, depending on where you're coming from ofcourse.

I know that our negotiators sit in on AWAC negotiation session, and vise versa. Hopefully that will lead to a higher standard for all US EX pilot groups. Ofcourse, we have alot further to go just to catch up with AWAC current book. Last I heard PDT management locked out PSA and AWAC from negotiations, but hopefully that's changed by now.

BTW, with all the flying you guys picked up in CLT and we picked up in DCA, it wouldn't suprise me if you did get a CLT base at some point.

Wow that's awesome about commutability.. Getting both sides goes WAY senior. In both seats..

And haha yeah we wish.. I'll keep saying my prayers. Management says they "tried" but airways won't give us the overnighters.. Hmph ohh well.
