PSA TA going to pass?
#201
I'm still trying to understand this vote. So, US Airways needs 100 pilots and they have to hire 25 from PSA from the top of the seniority list? That means that a guy halfway down seniority has no chance (of being able to go to USA to fly another regional) AND they can then hire the other 75 that they need from XJet, TSA, Skywest, or whomever they want?
no
they're supposed to offer 25% of the classes to psa and pdt each(so 50% of each class for whollyowneds, funny how quick people are to always forget pdt exists and is part of this company)
they dont have to actually put that many in the class, just offer that many slots, so if people turn it down, they wasted a slot someone else could have taken and it allows airways to winnow down how many they have to take, and how many they have to offer later (so basically if you have no intention of going to airways DONT INTERVIEW!!! because if they offer you a slot that you turn down, you just screwed a coworker)
the interviews are in seniority order, but the offers for class dates dont have to be, at least thats my understanding of it
not that it matters, there's enough loopholes and escape clauses that allows them to almost take no one if they want to and still comply with the contracts...

I have a question can't ALPA national reject this TA even though 60% the PSA pilots have no self worth? Rather than start a jumpseat war, start calling into ALPA national and your MECs this weekend and get Lee "Joke" Moak not to authorize this TA and send it back because it is so detrimental to ALL ALPA and non-ALPA regional carriers. I know Moak is on board with torpedoing all regionals to mainlines advantage rather than hold the line across the board and demand better for all ALL ALPA pilots. If national endorses this TA then they sealed there fate with regionals and ALL should decertify ALPA national and form a RALPA together... Just some constructive ideas to ponder....
