SJS is strong eh? What exactly do you need "jet" time for that "turbine" time won't cover? Plenty of Brasilia captains I've flown with have gone to the majors and Brasilia FOs have gone to LCCs. There are a bunch of current Brasilia captains with United class dates. My Brasilia IOE instructor is now at United. My sim partner for my last time through recurrent is now at US Airways. One person left my Brasilia -> RJ transition class mid-class to take a class date with JetBlue before ever having flown the RJ.

Isn't not having a 10 year contract a good thing? Won't it suck to be at PSA 10 years from now when the payscale is the same as it is today and has never been adjusted for inflation? That's effectively a paycut every year for 10 years when the pay is towards the bottom of industry standard already.

It took me 15 seconds of looking around this website to figure that out so I'm not sure why you'd post a blatant lie. There are negative things about Skywest but the pay is most definitely not one of them. The pay scale is very good for a regional.

From someone with about equal time in props and jets, I've never understood that "turboprops are more fun than jets" sentiment. It's simply not true. I'm glad I flew them (for maybe 7000 hours), but I don't wish to return to them. Sorry.
