Default PSA in DFW April 30th

Anyone know if they will be hiring or just interviewing?

FYI, I'm not a recruiter as previously suggested, but a potential applicant if their growth continues.

Are you really that eager to work for the sell outs of the industry?

If you're a potential applicant if their growth continues, then I'm sorry to inform you that you've already missed the boat. This is how it goes... Everyone waits until a company has movement to try to jump aboard, but usually by the time everyone finds out, it's too late to be on the front of the wave.

QX is a good example. Two years ago, speaking of applying QX on here was like having leprosy. Now I have over 100 people below me, and hiring is still increasing.

Pay, choice of base, work rules/quality of life. These are the things that will be there whether there's movement or not. Choose accordingly.

I don't know how to answer that. Here is what I keep thinking about.

Time on reserve, pay, growth, upgrades, etc:

Eagle - Years to just get off reserve

ExpressJet - Years to get off reserve

Mesa - Lower pay than PSA

SkyWest - Years to get off reserve

Republic - Too much unknown, very messy IMHO

PSA has a ten year contract. They are taking additional aircraft deliveries. Their classes are full. They are just far away from home or I would have already committed to interview. Since they are coming here, guess I'll go and see for myself why you would ask that.

Getting off reserve could be a few months on the EMB-120 in many bases at SkyWest.

I'm sorry I feel like I'm missing something here........ When exactly did they make an official announcement of DFW for Apr 30th? And what does the title of this thread have to do with the topic of discussion?

On another note, if your waiting to see if growth continues just know that every month that's another 40-50 people senior to you which in the long run could end up being an extra year sitting as FO. That's pretty much the case with every regional not just PSA. Make a decision and run with it. Good luck

Thanks for the reply. But, there are 3184 pilots at skywest, that's a turboprop not a jet, that pay is lower than psa pay, skywest doesn't have a union and a ten year contract. All due respect, sounds like apples to oranges.

There is a banner ad on climbto350 saying they are interviewing in Dallas/Fort Worth on April 30th.

As for the topic, curious if they are "interviewing" and offering classes or offering future interview dates when you go. Hard to pass on a LOCAL interview if class dates will be offered.

Pretty sure their new contract says yr 1-2 pay is the same on bro and crj. No one is too good to fly a turboprop, they're more fun than jets!
