an intelligent person that takes a step back and looks at the big picture, thinks logically and realizes that the greater good of pilots in general/health of the industry is much more important than shortening your own upgrade time. I would bet that very few, if any, of the PSA guys that voted yes thought any further than how taking voluntary concessions for growth would affect upgrade time at PSA. Did any of them think about how continuing to feed the majors' addiction to "cheap feed" would affect majors' hiring/growth? Or how their vote would affect their peers' career progression and even those pilots to come behind them? I highly doubt it. They saw the opportunity to upgrade soon and took it without thinking or caring that they were selling out thousands of their peers. So, like I said... you're (yes voters) selfish! and I hope it bites you in the a$$ later

this is great and all.....the only problem is a lot of people on this site preach this because it's the "right thing to do" yet when it actually comes down to it vote the exact opposite of this philosophy.

Reminds me of the time that I was strongly against Pay for training.
Well it worked for so many people. Lots of people I know moved on and had much better paying jobs earlier because they paid for either a type or hours.
Was it wrong? Maybe the big picture PFT is. But it paid off fir thousands of pilots.

Yes we are. My class has 21. The clas that starts next week have over 25. Classes start every two weeks

If anyone can answer the following about PSA, I'd much appreciate it.
Are there trip rigs? If so what are they?
What is per diem?
What is the vacation scale?
Is there sick leave on top of vacation or none at all or all together??
How much is single/family coverage health insurance?
Is there cancellation pay for MX &/or WX?
Is there deadhead pay?
Is there premium pay for any flying?
What kind of 401k matching / retirement options are there?
Are the pay tables correct on airlinepilotcentral.com?
Is there trip touching pay for time off taken?
Does the contract have a commuter clause? If so, how many backups do you have to plan to invoke it? Is there a limit on how many times a year you can use it?
Does PSA provide hotel rooms for the night before/after early/late duty on/offs? (I saw where some company does this, but don't remember who it was)
Is there anything else about the contract that's especially good or bad or noteworthy?

I know some of this info is available in past posts, but if anyone who already knows can answer off the top of their head, I'd appreciate it!

I disagree. I'm at another regional now. Yes, all regionals are suck-fests, but some are better than others. PSA is way at the bottom of the list. I'll give credit where credit is due- yes, mx was pretty good. Yes, the training department was pretty good. That's it. Scheduling sucked, dispatch sucked, management sucked (including pilot support management), a lot of the flying we did sucked. While I did say mx was pretty good, I frequently had an APU deferred in the middle of the summer. Sucks. In a -200? Sucks REAL bad. The hotels were hit or miss. It's not just about pay.
Iv new here 3 years and never had an apu deferred...but maybe I'm lucky
