TYS is not a MX base.

I've yet to figure out why we have a base in TYS.

I suppose its a benefit to the flight crews to not have to pay for hotels or other living arrangement in more expensive cities.

Whats the average upgrade time at PSA?

CLT Guy 12-15-2014 03:58 PM

Right now, guys with previous 121 time are upgrading in ~8 months. Everything past what is happening right now is pure speculation.

People starting class next week with no previous 121 time are looking at 18-20 months.

There are currently about 850pilots on the seniority list, and the list should top out at 1500 or so. With attrition, the upgrade time of 2 years or less will continue for another 3 or so classes. After that, the upgrade time will increase some unless attrition grows.

OzarkALPilot 12-15-2014 04:35 PM

I have a class date of Jan 5th. Previous 121 but only 460 hours 121 SIC.
Am I ratively safe for still making the quick upgrade. Getting nervous now that I put in my resignatikn to go back to first year pay.

But Definately ready to get off reserve. Where should I bid to get a line the quickest and have a decent commute from Atlanta

There's probably 12+ flights a day from ATL to CLT.

The quickest upgrade would probably be at TSA no?

What regional are you coming from?

TYS is probably your best bet as far as getting off reserve the quickest.

And turn on your spell check. ;)
