DCA is being flown from CLT now. CLT flying isn't shrinking past the amount it's covering for DCA.

And just to reiterate:

They did the same thing when they opened CVG. They took lines from CLT to open CVG. They'll likely do the same thing to DCA and then in 4-6 months after it opens CLT will be business as usual

Don't know it has been mentioned, but new hires are once again getting CLT base before hitting the line.

DCA is currently being flown from CVG/DAY/TYS too but they aren't shrinking in pilots. I didn't say we are losing flying out of CLT only that we will have less pilots based there as of March 2.

We've always done DCA flying from TYS and DAY and I expect that to continue. Majority of the flying out of DCA is currently covered from CLT lines.. Thus the reduction in crew members 3/2/17.

The FO base awards came out and I noticed that new hires went to all four pilot domiciles. Not sure if everyone got their first choice but I bet they will by the time they're done with IOE.

No one from the 11/21 (big class) got CLT yet but everyone from the 11/7 got it I guess. So one could assume next month the 11/21 class will get CLT if they want it.

That could change since they just announced a reduction of about 30 people per seat in CLT.

This is incorrect. 11/21 did get clt. One guy did at least.

Looking at the base bids, there are already quite a few people that have been on property 2 years that are bidding DCA.

CLT may have a few less flights initially, but once we properly staff all of the airplanes that we have (ahem...the CRJ200's that are not officially parked but underutilized) and we start accepting more 700's, then CLT will likely be the same size or larger than it is now.

I thought no one got it by comparing names to roster in that class. One might have slipped thru I guess. I only see more guys going to CLT even with the 34/32 announced because if you look at the standing base bid, quite a few have already put DCA on their list.
