Just so everyone can see the hard numbers, as of the last bid

Equipment----Global Seniority-----Domicile-----Hire Date

CRJ ---------986----------------IAD---------1-12-2004

ERJ---------1161----------------IAD---------11-29-2004

DHC-82-----1784----------------DEN---------1-15-2007

1900-------1715----------------FMN---------9-11-2006

There I hope that can shead the FACTS to some people. If you are looking for a quick upgrade....well behind a prop you might find it...elsewhere you better just keep on looking because right now even the ERJ is taking 2.5 years and the last bid actually displaced some CA's back to F.O.
I myself have been a Captain here for over a year and I think I am about to take my T-PIC and head for another regional while I wait for that all important phone call. I really don't know why someone wouldn't walk out the door the day that HR told them they were even going to the jet. When I interviewed I told them if they put me on the jet I would get up and walk out of class. I knew then like the rest of you know now that the quick PIC wasn't there. So please help us out in shutting this place down just like you would any other sweat shop

Not true. I have a friend who's been at SKW for over 1.5 years, she started on the Brasilia, and she's still an FO on the Brasilia in DEN.

I also talked to a buddy of mine at Mesa this week. He's been there for over 3 years, and he's still an FO on the CRJ. I guess he could have upgraded on the ERJ, but he didn't have his bid in at the right time, and then all the upgrade slots filled. Now the ERJ is just as senior as the CRJ and he's looking at another 6 months before he can upgrade.

Well, I would have to say that your friend at SKW just didn't take the first upgrade. MAybe she wanted DEN CA and it wasn't available. Howver she could have upgraded. 2 of the guys I went to flight school with just upgraded on the RJ and have only been there for about 18-20 months and I know the EMB is below that. It could also be that your friend doesn't have the required flight times to upgrade.
With that said, I just posted the ACTUAL times for upgrade at Mesa and the ERJ although going more senior everyday, is still junior to the CRJ.

The latest EMB upgrade was a June 2006 hire...your friend in DEN must not have the time or has a senior base listed as her preference for upgrade....

I'm a recent new hire and I was asked which airplane I wanted. I chose the dash, and got it.

I'm at roughly 1100 TT, only 400 away from ATP mins. I guy in my class was hired with 1600 TT, and was offered the left seat on the first day of training. He's taking it.

Good one, really original. Amazing.

Find me somewhere where I can get my turbine PIC time quicker, and I'll see you there.

Glad you set your goals high on NWA. Congrats!

good luck newgrad - I went to Mesa and flew the Dash for 10 months..I Don't regret it..Just don't stay there...I took it for what it was worth - DEN based and got some great experience..You'll like the Dash it's an awesome aiplane - training is tough - just keep a good attitude. Just take great pride when you screw them and quit unexpectedly when you get a better job somewhere else..
