What bases do you have for a direct hire captain on the Dash, do they take you with just an ATP and no extra flight time reqs.?

They will - But, don't expect to be signed off of IOE very easy. I know of a few street captains in the Dash who would not get signed off...The Dash8 is like a fraternity there - They really don't appreciate or respect street captains too much unless you have previous 121 experience - Unless you do, I wouldnt even try it....

I heard mesa erj's were being put at JFK - the Dash's were put at JFK by Deltas doing to try to clog up the airspace and slow JetBlue down - Just a rumor I had heard...

Ok, I was on the terrible seniority list for over 5 years. It was the must f'd up place I had ever seen. There are some great people there, but the MGT sucks. The airplanes are barley flying, and the training is sub-par. It was good for time building, but it is the worst place in the world to work for longer than 1-2 years....My advice to anyone is get your turbine PIC in the Beech as fast as you can then get out to a better regional. The funny thing is how I see people defend that place in the beginning. They think they got a good deal, but that changes real fast. See you on the other side.
