Let this kid live his fantasy of being an "airline pilot." It will wear off the first couple months, and he will be back on here asking questions about other regionals. I would venture a guess and say that he is probably a MAPD grad, has 200 hours, and has been told how "great" mesa is during his training process.

BTW SAAB,

I just "Bashed" something to your hometown girl's pictures that are all over the internet!

They are going bye bye either back to the mothballs or sold to someone else. The maintenance problems have proven too much for Delta to deal with.

The -200s aren't "hunks of ****" and can do things into the high alt colo airports that your crj's cant do. That's why they are flown on the routes they are.
Have some self respect. It's ok with you to get beaten down the way you will everyday. No cancellation pay, 10 hour credit on 4 days, Junior manning because they can't keep people around long enough, way to many people on reserves so thy don't have to give you 10 days off, only 8. When contract time comes around the threat of taking all the planes across the pond. It could be worse than the freedom mess last time.

bizzum-

I have roughly 1100 TT, so the upgrade will be fairly short.

Saab-

I don't and shouldn't have to spend 3 years in the right seat. I will go to the majors, but not right at the 1000 turbine pic mark.

Just curious, how long do you think you should spend in the right seat? No one here is bashing you personally, just that you have the typical "first airline" attitude, and that mesa is about the worst there is out there. But you will have to live and learn.

1100 TT and mesa was your first callback? So mesa must have been your airline of choice then or you couldn't get yourself a job somewhere else. Do you think the codesahres like doing business with mesa? You think you and a 200 hour FO should be flying around 36 people in those sharty aircraft? You really don't have a clue. I know guys that started back there when the Freedom Dash's were just starting, all are looking to get out of mesa. You don't know what you have coming Captain. www.mesahub.com

He's def. drinking the training center kool-aid.

I have friends going to Mesa to interview, get hired and say they are going to class and then plan on NOT SHOWING UP just to screw the company. I love it. Class of 60+ riiiight.

How is paying for the hotel during training? Barely breaking even eh? What a deal... on company business but the employee has to pay.

Comair, XJT, Republic are all paying for their pilot's hotels. R E S P E C T ... Ornstein has none for you.

The Dash upgrade won't be so hot when they are mothballed this fall. One of those Delta -100s was headed for a museum because it has serial number #1. How nostalgic JO! That genious poured millions into those things to pull them from the graveyeard and get them running again.
