With the Dojetdriver name is it safe to assume you came over from Independence? What times did you have when you got on there? If you came to XJT with a lot of 121 time that's great, but someone gave you your first shot at a 121 airline. That was my only point, and no I was not a 600 hour wonder.

I guess the same could be said for the fella who stated that expressjet was not hiring qualified pilots...No one here is born with a ton of experience.

600TT may not be the most experienced guy, but that doesnt mean hes automaticly retarded. Some guys work hard, study hard, and are at 600 or so and can meet the challenge. So my ? is what makes you quailfied.

I was just hired at xjet monday with 630 hours total fixed wing time. I sure hope that I will get respect when I am on the line flying. I will have gone through the same training as everyone else at express. If someone regardless of time makes it through training makes it through then they deserve the same respect as the next guy. I am excited about the opportunity and I think that if the company didnt think I was trainable they wouldnt waste the money on training me.

There have been so many guys with that experience level hired that it is a non-issue. It has more to do with your attitude and willingness to learn once you are on line that will get you respect. It's the guys with low time, been here a little while, become three and half stripers, and start to ***** about not upgrading in a year that start to irritate people.
