Continental is hiring without any PIC requirement. Are you planning on SKW as a career? Where did you get that time?

They made it clear to us back in January, that 1000/100 was the absolute min time they would invite you in for an interview. I was put in the EMB-120 starting in April. Good luck to you!

P.S. Can anyone tell me when do you find out your base in ground school? Thanks in advance!
You'll find out your last week of ground school. Plan on FAT or PSP. Welcome to SkyWest and the 120

Since you have less than 1000 turbine PIC, I don't think that would be a problem at all. There are plenty of fighter guys here who would be great Fedex material except that they are also a few hundred hours short of PIC.

Also, the reality is that ANY regional wants really guys who will move on a few years after upgrade...that way they have a bunch of 4-7 year captains instead of a bunch of 12 (or 18) year captain$$$$$.

SKW might hesitate to hire someone who already has 1000+ high-quality turbine PIC because that person might be just looking to get established back in the game so he can get hired by a major immediately.

I've probably fown with 8-10 guys that had over 1000 Turbine PIC when they were hired at SkyWest. Several of them were checkairman as well. Aircraft ranged from Metros, 1900s, Lears, F27s, ATRs, and DC-9.
