Default Still using Flight Bags

Hello,

New to APC, hope all are well. Im currently flying 135 freight, hoping to make a jump to the 121 world soon. With EFBs becoming a big thing, is there a need for Flight Cases still?

Flight bag holds personal items now instead of charts.

Most are using a lunch/cooler/tote combo type soft bag. iPad/POS surface in the side and headsets on top or end.

You don't need flight bags anymore. Just get a good backpack and put all your gear in it and sling it over your shoulder and your good to go.

Unless the airline that you work for still has you carry a couple of books of Jepps and a couple of company and plane manuals.

I think Piedmont is too, but in the trial process of the iPad.

You can easily fit all that in a good backpack. Plus, it's much easier to carry.... Just fling it over your shoulder and your GTG.
