Mesa CBA

Of course
...we have been doing this on a small scale for quite some time at Airmiddy to get things done. The management can't say too much about you having legit maint. problems and they definately give you plenty of those to choose from. Remeber ppl, if it isn't in that MEL its GROUNDED! Thats too bad if we don't have maint at that stop

We might not be able to strike but I can dang sure cause daily problems with EXTREMELY small write ups at the most inconvienent times. Sick calls placed on just the right days. If you add up the small things with the fact that MOST of the pilot group supports doing. We can cause a number of intentional delays and hit JO where it hurts. Is this hurting the company as well, sure but doesn't a strike do the same. If it costs us a code share or two then so be it. Sometimes you have to destroy something so that new growth may form.
Oh my gosh guys, why did you sign that shty contract? 60 mins show time, the pay, the work rulez..and a training contract? I just don't understand!!!!

BURN IT DOWN.
Mesa is paying pilots $500 to help get other pilots in there. Also- they are paying for the hotel during training now... whoopdedoo!!!
AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS. Supply and demand will be key for their CBA negotiations starting in September... and it is already starting to hurt.
ALPA national needs to help fix one of the worst ALPA contracts in history.

With the staggering (and that's an understatement) attrition rate going on at Mesa right now, there may not be any pilots around to even need a new contract. Mesa's bleeding, and I'm seriously not sure if there's any tourniquet that will stop it. There's talk of the company planning on cancelling vacations to deal with the lack of pilots, and we're already seeing record levels of JRA's. Couple that with the company punishing us with minimum days off, and horrible schedules, and a lot of folks are just leaving with, or without a job. You can ask any senior pilot there and they'll say that it's the worst now than it's ever been (and that's saying a lot).
Mesa will either cease to exist a year from now, or will be a fraction of itself. And hopefully JO and his gang will be banished from ever working in the airline industry again.

How would he know which aircraft he's getting?
He could get the B1900, in which case he's at Air Midwest and could be based at any one of 20 bajillion domiciles.
If he gets a training date at PHX, then he could get either the CRJ, ERJ, or the Dash 8.
There's waaaaaay too many unknowns when you accept a job with Mesa. Where will you end up? What aircraft will you get? What will your base be?
If I was your friend, given all this uncertainty with Mesa, I'd go to ExpressJet.

It's all rumor - Mesa is no better and no worse than it ever was.
