Well, everyone at Air Midwest seems to think that Big Sky has made an offer on our airline. I guess only time will tell, but many senior ppl are starting to jump ship. This makes one wonder if someone knows what this soon to be announced offer will be.

I've heard of Midwest Airlines. Who's Air Midwest? Is that the commuter for Midwest?

air midwest = mesa
midwest airlines comm. = skyway

and the BOS flying for big sky is under delta colors, not for eagle

Thanks. I had never even heard of Big Sky until I started flying twins out there in the 90's.

As I understand it, these Boston routes are new routes. I don't think that Big Sky took them from anyone. Most of the cities are EAS routes and it looks like a few Canada cities will be picked up as well. That flying will be done for Delta (planes will be Delta colors).

There is talk about getting a bigger plane, but it is just talk at the moment. I have heard that DH8 is the first one on the list. They, believe it or not, they are including pay for even larger planes on the new contract. I think that the DH8 is possible, but won't happen for a while. I don't expect to see anything bigger than that for a looooong time, if ever.

Don't think that I am a Big Sky expert. I am not at all. I am just in ground school. I just call things as I see them.

From the schedules that I have seen for Boston, don't expect to be home when on duty.

Will Big Sky be aquiring any additional routes for BOS other than the ones previously announced?

WhiteH2O 03-11-2007 01:26 PM

From the Big Sky website:

"More destinations from Boston will be announced soon. "

With Colgan's 1900's going away soon, it might be some of those routes, but who knows?

Myself and a few friends applied after a post on the UND site. Not a peep back and everyone met the 750 and 50ME.
