If you are in IOE and already feel this way, you are either in the wrong business or are not gonna make a good commuter. Perhaps moving to CVG would be the solution?

So what if you were a truck driver for 9 years and you are used to being gone 3 weeks at a time and off for 3 days?

This is the real deal!! Got past the shiny jet and now you see what the job really is! I new a guy who bailed from TranStates like this. All that money spent training and he couldn't see what the job really was. I do, however, know how you feel. It does go away after awhile. Stick it out, though, you'll be glad you did.

I hate leaving home too, but who doesn't? If you don't miss home, then you A) need a new wife/husband B) Need better friends C) Need to find some more hobbies, because flying for the regionals is not suppose to fill that void.

All that said I think it is just human nature to want more time for personal things. However, once I get out on the road I do enjoy flying most of the time. It is just managing to get away from the house that is tough.

I agree with Saab...this sounds like someone that had to get the uniform on when it arrived and take pictures...

Dude...I seriously suggest you really think about it...you're VERY lucky that CMR doesnt have a training contract.

I feel for you, I have been in this situation. Trust me if you hate it get out now. If you stay you are going to end up in a battle with everyone at the company. I stayed for nine months and it was a terrible experience. I personally just got sick of being in a close space with the other pilots who were a bunch of freaks with no lives or interests but flying.
