Default Eagle Medical

Can anyone confirm that they are not doing the medical the second day anymore? I am going down next week for the interview and I am curious if it is still going to be two days. Thanks.

Hey FL410,

I will be there on the 28th. I think they are planning to do the medical on day 2. They have me flying out (from PHX) on the morning of the 27th, and not returning until 6pm on the 29th. It could be because the other flights are full, but one of the e-mails they sent says;

"...If you are sucessful through the ATP written test, HR Interview, Technical Interview and Simulator Evaluation, we can schedule you to attend our company medical the next day."

I hope this helps. Maybe I'll see you in DFW. Good luck.

If they still do it, they will give you a medical questionaire to take back to he hotel and fill out...make a copy of that thing!

I didn't, and I can't begin to remember what sort of BS I wrote down...and that will be a big problem if I ever apply to AA

Ok, I was talking to a person that interviewed on March 20 and the group did not have to do the medical. Good luck.

One of my old students is in DFW on the SAAB and has been dating a girl in recruitment. I will give him a ring and see what he has heard around there about the medical.

Is the eagle flow-through agreement still valid?

If not, then it would make sense for them to skip the AA medical.

Talked to the HR people today at a job fair...they said the dreaded Eagle medical is no more...confirmed. A first class medical from the feds is good enough. Good luck.

There is still a medical, it is no longer the crazy 5 hour astronaut medical, only a drug test (pee in a cup), fingerprint, and hearing test, and yes, it does take place on the second day. Hope this helps.

The flow-through is still valid until May 08, but after that, its anyones guess what will happen. Maybe AA is planning on cancelling the medical exam for their hiring procedures. Do any other majors have a medical like AA?
