the best regional is usually the other one that your friend or some person you just had a terminal talk with is at! grass is always greener, regionals change in quality on a daily basis. good example, RAH has always been looked at as a "better" regional, up unitil here recently. Xjet was awesome up until they lost some flying to CHQ and then decided to try their own branded flying, which might work out great, or maybe not. AWAC has a good contract and eveyone liked it there, but look what happened over night to those guys. the main point is Gojet sucks and every other regional is "every regional". whatever you do, dont get your regional advice from places like this. Just my 2 cents

I agree, I have already came to my own conclusions based on a lot more information than is provided on these type of websites. It is true that regionals aren't where we want to end up for good but all you can do is make the best decision with the information at hand. Scarykite, I appreciate the good feedback. These other guys are on here just to shoot the BS. I have already made all my decisions, I was just curious to see what these other guys would say and so far you are the only one that said anything but how stupid of a question that was. Good job.

Yeah, you're right, nothing stupid about an open ended question without specifics!

Enjoy that CRJ out IAH....the gate agents really love them.

RAH is fine, especially if they have a junior base where you want to live. Horizon is better, and XJet is also, except they are doing some risky business right now so they come with some uncertainty.

SKW is probably about the same as RAH, but with bases on the left coast in case you want to live there.

Other than that I don't think there are any real standout regionals. There are a couple of niche-market turboprop operators that are decent, but their upgrade times may be high.

So far it's hard to say. But I think Skywest might work out for now.

There's always compass. A lot less people to get through to get an upgrade, fos are getting MSP in training or LAX. They fly strictly 76 seat airplanes, so no worry of parking of 50 seaters. And they treat their employees pretty well
