It’s solid if you’re applying to a regional with a test as part of the interview process. Most of the folks who fail those interviews fail because they didn’t prep for the written.

Although as desperation sets in, a few regionals have begun to accept people if they have ATP mins, an instrument rating, 25 hours of ME and can fog a mirror with your breath. Mesa apparently refrigerates the mirror but in Phoenix that may actually be necessary.

Who is still giving written test as part of interviews? Those test prove nothing.

Piedmont does, they even tell you to study the Sheppard air stuff and give you the number to call for it. I think it’s more of a way to see if you’ll study if given the information vs. what you actually know..
