Pinnacle info

I have had 3 buddies hired into PNCL with class dates ranging from yesterday to may 14. I also know of 2 guys on a first name basis who have been hired. Highest time was around 700 hours, lowest was 550- multi time ranged from 25 to 100 hours. Not the 250 times, but still well below the "published" mins of 1000/200
Some of the guys are from Air Whiskey, CommutAir, Former Chicago Express and Part 135 operators.
Personally, I think this is pretty good considering the shortage in the industry. Either way low timers are soon to arrive everywhere. There are no pilots left in the schools. XJ's bringing in 50 Multi-engine hour pilots and hiring them and ExpressJet has been hiring 500 hour pilots since 2003. So no one can knock 9E for lowering it mins.
If 9E does not grab they will just go somewhere else.

I'm getting back into flying after a 6 month break (medical). I sent a resume to Pinnacle and got a response from Cynthia within a few hours with an interview invitiation.
I have 5000+tt with 3300 turbine, 1500 turbine PIC (almost all J31/32), 600 PT121 PIC (all J31/32), 200 Jet (A300). Anyone have any idea if I could expect to be one of the super quick upgrades if I got hired?
And yes I know reserve would be forever, and all the other negative stuff, but for what I'm looking for I think Pinnacle could be a good fit.
Thanks

If they fly you down to MEM for an interview, make sure you ask them for all the details about street CA, i.e. be sure they don't say something they can't cash. If you don't feel kosher, ask them to put it in writing. Otherwise, welcome aboard!

The situation (explained to me by a high mins CA) was this- 2 months ago the company figured up how many FO's will be eligible for upgrade over the next 6 months. Between those with the 3000/500 already and predicted to have it they figured 200 ELIGIBLE FO's. That doesn't take into account those who either won't upgrade, or will go somewhere else (attrition). At 40/mo upgrading they run short. The flood gates upen up if dropped to 2500TT/1000 at PNCL, but currently the gates are set at 3000 with 500 at PNCL or 3500 off the street. You could expect a quick upgrade, possibly a street CA spot, and rsv for sure.

I love it here.. I just got off reserve in memphis this month (4 months total of rsv) - have all the weekends off.. Lots of flying (which is good for me), quick upgrades, and a great pilot group. Pay could be better but you can live (barely) on first year pay if you are single and live within your means. A pay raise and better QOL will come with the contract, that will happen within 6 months I predict.. As far as airplanes getting taken away, I have 2 thoughts there. First, NWA will not take em away b/c they need them in the system. Second, even if they took all 17 away tommorrow we would still not furlough- we would actually be staffed correctly for once. If you happen to live in MEM, DTW, MSP, or IND- or even one of the 9E served cities your commute won't be bad and you will enjoy your time here. This isn't a career place, but its a really smooth stepping stone. Enjoy your time here and if you need some help in training drop me a PM, I live in Mem and would be glad to meet up with you and explain stuff you may not understand.
What are pinnacle min ? Comm with Inst and mult ? or so many hours like 1000 tt and 100 mult
