I know but I’m saying who cares what’s in the standby when you can cross check with the other pilot’s altimeter.
It blows my mind what petty little stuff sets off the feds and what actually important stuff they ignore.

anything on your phone is not authorized. It’s like this, though. No fed in the jump or not being line checked do what you want. The people that don’t use use their phone are the exception.
Except on my flights, for the record. Lol I run a tight ship... shoulder harnesses stay on in cruise and instruments are constantly being scanned. I also like to say things like “let’s make sure someone is minding the shop,” when we bred approaches.

Oh I see what you mean. Yeah it’s pretty restarted. Another one that blows my mind is when we get dinged for not pointing to the altimeter as we say it when we select a new altitude. I wouldn’t have a problem with that, but almost every time I’ve had a jumpseat er I’ve been debriefed about not pointing at it. I always point at it... always.

LOL. The Senior Mamma's call THEMSELVES that. At least most of them do, anyway - the ones with a sense of humor.
