It does. It won't get you to military crisp and my not take out hard creases. If you roll up your shirts vice folding to avoid creases where you don't want them, then the shower trick should suffice. In the regionals nobody is looking too hard at your shirt at 0430 at northern arkansas...
I use the hotel iron, if it's gunked up I call the desk and they bring me a new one.

I have a travel one from Amazon. Don't remember the name, but it was the highest-rated one. It does a good job.
IF you prefer the ironing route, here's a tip. Always use a damp washcloth between the iron and your stuff. It will prevent shininess on your pants and nasty dark marks on your white shirt..

I’ve done it, it works like crap. Buy a small travel iron or steamer if you care about your appearance in uniform. A Cut Above shirts help reduce the time you’ll spend ironing and you’ll look fairly wrinkle free throughout the day.
