Pretty much the same everywhere. With better money at quite a few I don’t see the draw.
Republic is late 2019 even to get hired Endeavor is late 2019 even to get hired Expressjet still has 5+ year upgrades Skywest, maybe, but no flow so might get stuck for life. |

-QOL (schedule, contract, and living in a base)
-Money (straight path and soft time, no bonus BS) -Upgrade time -CPP/Flow -Equipment In priority order. Pick your regional like you’re going to spend the rest of your career there. You probably won’t. But you just might. I fly with plenty of people who were in class at a major or even waiting on OE at one (got the type to show for it) when something happened and they ended up out of a job and back at the regional. Hope for the best. Plan for the worst. Your career progression can fall apart in a day, with as little as one stroke of a pen. Pick a company you could spend the rest of your career with, and that you can come back to with seniority if the next step doesn’t pan out for whatever reason. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Anyone starting at ExpressJet now will probably upgrade around two years or less.

If you think the flow is a guarantee that you won't get stuck for life then you don't understand history or the industry very well.
Got an example I don't know of? |

It has been a pretty darn good guarantee so far.
Got an example I don't know of? You’re right that the flow is working now, but pilots are also getting hired everywhere at a faster rate than what the flow offers. |

I think the point he’s making is that if pilots start getting stuck at the regionals then that probably means the majors have stopped hiring in which case the flow would also come to a screeching halt.

So what's the downside of the flow then?
