That’s like charging someone with a DUI being drunk in their house.
Suspension will never happen if you are responsible on your side.

Speaking of DUI, so many people have no idea that you can get a DUI in most states on lawn mowers, golf carts, even horses on public roads. You can also get a DUI operating a motor vehicle on private property if law enforcement has a legal right to be there or witnesses you commit the act from a public area.

Absolutely. It is based on the state. Florida for example. If you own a vehicle and don't have insurance, your license will be suspended within 30 days I believe. It's happened to me.

That’s not the point.

Default Drivers License

Check with the local DMV if the suspension will show up. There is a difference between administrative suspension and suspension for excessive points. Florida was nice enough to suspend my license because I had a headlight ticket and got it fixed but was not aware I had to pay a County clerk fee. Never notified my license was suspended and found out when I ran a DMV check for an interview. Some people on this forum fail to comprehend that these things happen.

This! You typically have to list these things on the application regardless. It is in your benefit to go to the DMV NOW and get a complete history printout. Not the seven year or whatever year, the complete printout from date of issue. I remember worrying about this when I applied to regionals but always told the truth.
Case in point, interviewed with B6 about a year back. Decided to get my DMV printout a few months before the interview. My DL was suspended and I didn't even know it due to unpaid court fees form a ticket which I had paid a ticket lawyer to handle. Wasn't fun explaining in the interview. I didn't get the job btw, not saying that was a reason but I'm sure it didn't help.. Good luck.

Let’s not forget that in some states (Washington), texting while driving goes on your record as a DUI.

Also, don’t let any of these knuckleheads discourage you. Just disclose your past, be honest and own up to your mistakes and you’ll be fine.

I’d be curious statistically whether driving slightly over the limit is more or less dangerous than texting while driving.
