Why the hate for DEC's?

At my airline, they act like us natives don't know how to properly operate the airplane because it isn't the way they've done it at their last failed airline.
And by the sound of it, the OP came busting in with a bad attitude that left a bad taste in everyone's mouth.... and then asked why people don't like DECs. Fitting.

Couldn't have said it better. I see it rub off on some FOs doing weird non-standard stuff that they learned from DECs.

"I've started a couple of threads on other boards asking questions about bases and reserve time at different carriers for DEC's. I'm just trying to find info, and get a lot of hate from some, not all, but a lot.
Are FO's upset because their carrier has to hire DEC's? What's the deal? Why all the smart ass comments?"
Asking why I was being attacked is now considered "a bad attitude"? Please.

You sound like a snowflake.

No I didn't. This was my question.

no. An internet forum is like a clubhouse, all are welcome but there is still etiquette. Most come in and observe, listen a bit, research, maybe ask a question or two. You came in at full sprint, shouting at the top of your lungs, all while wearing a neon tux with lights on your sneakers.

Etiquette? Since when is insulting some one etiquette? A newb asking a question, albeit a naive question, doesn't deserve insults and ridicule. Way to make the new guys feel welcome! SMDH
Y'all need to grow up. Y'all come off as a bunch of frat boys who ridicule others to look cool in front of your frat brothers.

A little humility and tact would serve you well, you’ll find most here eager to answer your questions and help out a fellow pilot if you handle yourself with some professionalism, you know like the leader of a jet crew should do...
That old saying about honey and vinegar comes to mind.

You didn’t ask a question. You created eight threads in eight separate forums declaring your superiority and right to the left seat of a jet and a blank check, after eighteen years out of the game. Then proceeded to pick fights with anyone who questioned the wisdom of jumping into a PIC role of a jet at a company you haven’t been with, in an industry you haven’t even looked at in almost two decades.
A little humility and tact would serve you well, you’ll find most here eager to answer your questions and help out a fellow pilot if you handle yourself with some professionalism, you know like the leader of a jet crew should do...

If you look back at my posts/questions, you'll see that I was looking for information and advice about being offered a DEC position at 2 separate regionals. I received some good advice from several posters about the risks involved in accepting a DEC position and I agreed with them. I don't know where you're getting this, "superiority and right to the left seat" from? The only thing I said, was that I met their minimum hours for CA. Never did I say I had a "right" to anything. You are mistaken.
And as far as "picking fights"? Lol. Read the threads. I was insulted and ridiculed first, without provocation, and gave it back to them, just as I'm giving it back to you right now. I will not sit idly by and be insulted by people who know nothing about me or my history.
You will never, ever find me attacking someone without provocation. That's not my nature. I don't get off on ridiculing others, as many frat boys on here do.
And you're right about one thing. Many on here are eager to answer questions and help. And they have, but several would rather sling mud and insults like frat boys. I'm not here to argue with people, I'm here to find answers to help me make a very important decision and hopefully help others if I am able. If I came across as anything other than inquisitive (albeit naive), it was unintended and I will choose my words more carefully in the future.
Good day.

You have CFI posing as Airline Pilot, vatsim pilot or straight troll written all over these boards.
You say you come in with “3 years 121 experience,” yet you’re asking basic questions that demonstrate you have no experience.
C’mon now, fess up.
