Default DEC into the E175?

Is any regional hiring DEC's into the E175? If not, where's the best place to hire on as a CA qualified (time wise) FO and upgrade quickly?

And are they currently hiring?

I'm just curious. Real sexy jet. Not saying I'd base my decision solely on it, but I'd definitely like to fly it.

I know Republic is the only regional that has only E170/175 fleet, but their classes are full for the year.

How about a Boeing 727-200 that weighs 170,000 lbs? Is that like a 200 or a 145?

Not until you have at least 1274 hours of SIC time in the 727.

Sweet, I've got 1273.8 smart guy.

Why the snark from everyone? I'm just asking questions. Y'all sound like a bunch of jealous snowflakes that don't have the time to upgrade and are just being ****y because I do.

A simple yes or no would have sufficed.

Compass is probably your best bet at a fast 175 upgrade.. but it has a risk of them loosing some flying at it’s contract end, this fall.. Horizon would have been a good bet last Fall. Not now, That ship sailed.. Republic.. ya. Maybe a 2-3 year upgrade but 1 year wait for class. SkyWest under 1 year upgrade in the CRJ. But 3-4 for the ERJ.. Envoy??... probably not... Mesa? well Mesa, XJT. 175 will be super senior..So No. Good luck.... amazes me how people demand equipment.. (no offense) but ya. In my day (90’s) you would kill to not have to pay for your training and fly a Saab or E120. And not have to fly the B1900 or J32!!!
