My pilot shirts have permanent yellow sweat stains by the armpits. I’ve worn undershirts and wash them after every trip but no luck.

Go for a run once in awhile and the walk around won't make you sweat like you just ran a marathon

Seriously, soak your shirts in hot water and oxyclean for a few hours. That should remove the pit stains if they're not ridiculously bad. Ideally you should throw a bit of oxyclean in with each wash load and that will keep the shirts white from the start. Whatever you do, never use bleach - that is a guaranteed way to yellow the entire shirt. |
Spray some Shout stain remover to the armpit and collar areas before throwing the shirts into the washer. Works like a charm.
