Anyone on here crazy enough to move to a city with no family or friends just to live in base? Fresh out of college with no debt and have class dates with Republic and Skywest quickly approaching (decision time). I was thinking Columbus for RAH and Dallas for Skywest.
Also can anyone point out some differences in things like contract, growth, and career progression? If you were young and single again which one would you move for? Thanks!

That is exactly what I was going to say. Many regionals out there you can hold bases as an FO pretty quickly, but CA is not the same that’s for sure

Yeah. As others have stated, I had a class date at 9e and passed it up because I'm from MSP and would have probably never seen it as a CA. That base closed at my current shop anyway, damned if you do damned if you don't. Good luck with your decision

“Have pilot will travel.”
I. Your position go where you can get flying, cost of living, and maybe someplace cool to live. A time will come when the “R” word kicks in. Responsibilities. It will seem that you have fewer and fewer choices.
