Default New FDX domicile - OAK?

Can anyone shed some light on this. Can crew scheds build a pairing without a FE or BE airline deadhead? In this case, it is a back-to-back pairing with STHOTL on the back of the first and GT9999 on the front of the second (both OAK). It goes from an FO pairing to an RFO pairing. The CBA does not specifically state that a pairing must be built from/to a crew member's domicile that we could find. But isn't that the intent and implied function of a domicile. Should they rebuild the pairing(s)?

With the Volcano they are building alot of trips initially like this but end up putting the DH's on as they get around to it. SO, standby and I would not be surprised if it changes.

I think I was up to 11 revisions on my trip. It started out as a hotel standby too. The wild volcano isn't helping things.

I beg to differ...that volcano is putting stress on the system (in our favor) and just may be adding fuel to the "How much are me overmanned NOW?" quandry.

More bodies are needed than they are claiming...how thin do THEY want to stretch the numbers.

I say ERUPT AWAY!!!!

Blackbeard,

I have had them do that to me in the pass with a "FAKE" (that was the word in the pairing) to change me from a FO to an RFO. I called the MEC and they can do that. The only real question and no one could answer me was, do I get the bank?

I hope this helps.

Looks like they are changing back to ANC. My monday ICN/Oak just got changed back to ICN/ANC. They also have me hubturning on to MEM with 17:26 duty, but I'm sure that will change.

OK and thanks. Meanwhile, at the very least, I would look before you leap to accept that sub trip, etc. But if you are revised and/or extended, double check all the overage and extra pay provisions for these situations (the alpa calendar red pages + the CBA). When in doubt, submit a pay request online. I know some of this is automated now, but I believe in some situations you must submit the request.

Noser, if you EVER were assigned a trip that had a DH on it, you get the bank, no matter if it was cancelled, revised, etc. I hope you printed it out though; crew audit once told me they could not find a trip I told them I had before it was cancelled. I had printed it and had to submit it as proof to get the bank for it.

I also just this week was assigned a trip on sub that was a revision of an original bid pack trip. Although there was an accepted fare on the pairing, there was no DH on the trip--that was the revision. I asked crew audit if I got the bank on this pairing since there was an AF listed and the answer was "no." There had to be a DH on the trip WHEN it was assigned to me to be able to get the bank.

Cooter,

It was a very long time ago and if I remember right, its was at the end of my month so I couldn't have used it I had wanted to. Being a Capt now (for a little longer) I don't worry about DH's anymore.

What happens if you are on a trip RFO, goes into OAK. It was going to knock out another trip. They remove you from the trip, end it there. They give you a new improve xtra pairing (FO), PDO you 1 min OAK to OAK, New pairing, where you PDO'ed yourself. The awarded pairing disappears and you are on an extra pairing having PDO bumped yourself on a trip you were never on.

The trip you were on should carry into 150% then 200%. Instead they trick the system as scheduling put it. Now following trip is gone, you are on a PDO xtra trip and can't request anything extra.

Can I ask for Overage? Will I get it?

This happened to quit a few guys this last week.
