Skybus website is up and running

[QUOTE=ryane946;155310]"Skybus will be gone in 5 years. They have no hope. As soon as someone flies Skybus, and realizes they can't bring their own food on board, they will never fly their again. No gate agents. No phone numbers. Car salesmen flight attendants. All that means no customer service."
I would like to think so. But look at mesa and others, they thrive on ignorant pilots trying to build time to get to FedEx or UPS.
Main line aircraft will have to reduce pilots cost to compete. Most will quit and move on to another career. Flight schools will continue to flourish training a new breed of pilots that will happily fly a 150 seat aircraft for 65k a year.
Again our only hope for professional aviation is to control the supply of pilots.

Skybus is an appropriate name. Its not an airline, its a flying bus service. They will nickel-and-dime passengers to death so that a $100 round trip will wind up being $150 by the time youre done with the reservation. Then if you get there too late (less than 30 mins before departure) then its too bad and no refund.

You know I agree that pilots need to steer clear of this outfit, but keep in mind that this is probably worse for passengers than pilots.
Read wikipedia and learn about how Ryanair has jacked up many paying customers, its all true. I don't even know where to start, but I love the part where their CEO put taxi plates on his personal mercedes to go faster on the highway.
I will say my sister lived in Germany and had a pretty bad row with them on a vacation. She only lost like 60 euros, but had her trip of a lifetime put in jeopardy. Hopefully capitalism will prevail and pax will tell Skybus where to go if it turns out to be this bad.

But in five years if this continued then we might as well just call the American Airline industry Aeroflot. You get no more or no less no matter who you are or how much you can spend. And deserve every bit.
