Exactly. Yes, it was worse. But it could also be better. The people griping about folks not being content with ‘better than it used to be’ are doing a disservice.

Also want to say welcome back to industry. You mentioned Swift earlier. Have a very close friend there who is on his way out after two years. He cannot leave soon enough. It sure has changed for the better since they implemented the 1500 hour rule and you can make a decent living anywhere. personally took a 50k pay cut last year at a legacy after a decade flying turboprops. Stay close to home. no one I fly w who commutes is happy. Drive to work.
