Default Comair interview

Going to an interview with Comair very soon. Can anyone tell me something -whether good or bad- that has not yet been posted about this company?. I'm very interested in Comair for various reasons, the main one being the chance at the CRJ700.

We have lost quite a few of the 70's to Skywest/ASA lately. Expect getting the 50 seat out of JFK to start. Not sure of the ease of getting to the 70 seat as I live in NY and don't want to move out of JFK (70 is based in CVG).

Expect us to lose all but 2 70 seaters and we did not get any of the 900's yet and wont. We are losing flying to Mesa, CHq and that stinks

Thanks for the replies. Is it true then that DL is trying to scale down or sell Comair?. How long before one can bid out of JFK -MCO for instance-?.

Alot of guys easily get back to CVG or GSO within months of starting in JFK. MCO is a bit harder but not unheard of.

Is DL only leaving you with 2 70 seaters? And is it already set in stone that OH will not fly the -900 for DL?

Don't get hung up on the airplane too much. Spend a few months in this business and you'll soon learn that quality of life and money are what really matter. Personally, I'd fly a 152 dressed like Ronald McDonald if it meant lots of time off and a big pile of money.

PS
Everything I've heard about Comair is that it is more or less a dead end. Delta has kept shrinking the operation and taking aircraft away to give to Slywest. No growth/shrinkage + fairly senior pilot group/lots of lifers = stagnation.

They are recruiting fairly aggressively though...I guess just for attrition, perhaps.

Probably a lot of FO attrition and because its hard to convince people to stay there. Just speculation, but if I was in the job market right now I'd be very wary of Comair.

So will Comair survive (i know, speculative, but gimme opinions)? Is this an atrophy of the company, or the death-throws?
