That’s what I was getting at. OP stated they went to the regionals
First. Even if hired at 250, in less than 900 hours, you were picked up by a major and typed twice?

Only way is the intern thing or some kind of type rating scholarship.

Maternity/ or some type of FMLA leave could also help account for the low hrs. Or we’re getting trolled.

I’m betting it’s a troll, she has multiple types but none on a regional plane yet she started at a “regional” has 3 jet types yet total jet time is under 200? Did she the get the type in the sim and leave each company shortly after? It just doesn’t make sense.

Partly correct. There was some maternity leave. I was an instructor at the major, got typed and flew a little bit before leaving.

FO's didn't need or get types back in the day (15+ years ago). You were a non-typed commercial pilot, minimum time to get hired could be as low as 200-400 hours with pay-to-play.

Back when it took 3000 hrs and 1000 multi before a regional would touch someone? Or is that just a myth all the old timers tell?

Off the street was 2500/500 for the better commuters, 1500/300 for the rest. That was competitive, min to apply was usually 1000/200.

Pay-to-play would go as low as 200-400. Or possibly with an internship or internal hire.

The ATP rule was intended to ensure that the "traditional" standard (which existed for a reason) was not undercut by creative managers with pay-to-play schemes.

Wish it was, but unfortunately it’s not.
