I have never logged any 121 sim time. I didn’t log it under simulator time and I would never log it under TT. Really no need to. Just raises way to many questions during an interview.

............

TT - sim time = airplane time.
That’s why it’s call “total time”.

You guys seriously think that 30-50 hours of simulator time is a dealbreaker in an interview?
"I'm sorry, you said you have 5000 hours, but according to our audit, you only have 4970".

Not a deal breaker but it raises unnecessary questions. At least it could thus why even log it in the first place? Unless it's specifically going towards your ATP, any sim time logged after that is pointless.

I’m a foreign pilot, in my country we MUST log sim time as TT. I’m logging my FAA logbook with all my hours, do you think it’s a good idea to log simulator just under sim time to help in the interviews? Or just don’t log it at all.

Thanks

Just stick a note in there that XX hours of total time was in a simulator.

I’ve reviewed logbooks for interviews before and wouldn’t care. I personally wouldn’t log it because I feel it’s pointless, but wouldn’t lose any sleep if someone else did. I looked for things like times matching up or red flags like 25 hours in a 1900 and never flew it again.

I log PC’s and PT’s in a Level D in my own personal logbook as does my employer in their electronic records.
Yes I still use a paper logbook.
And tripping over 50 hrs when you’ve got >10k TT and 3 type ratings is absolute horse sh!t.
These applications that require you’re simulated Instrument time at night in a single engine are horse sh!t.
FAA records and PRIA, that should be it.

It doesn’t really matter how things should be. All that matters is what your final employer of choice wants to see.
