Go in there and do your best. Obviously if you got the invite to interview, they liked something about you, and think you could make a great addition to their team. They would know based on your application if you were ever a chief pilot, or have this other supposedly great “leadership” experience they want. Who knows, maybe they want to have have a high rejection rate to make it seem like the program is competitive, or they will make it a condition to have that bachelors before moving over. It does beg the question though, is it even worth applying too without it, being a one shot deal and all?!

Lol really that’s insane if that’s the way they are doing. I don’t care what anyone says that’s unacceptable

Is it recommended to wait until you have experience that is considered competitive to apply? This whole multiple shot deal is new to me. When I was trying to get on, if Delta shot you down you simply scratched them off your list and hoped for someone else to call. Everything was a one chance deal.

One shot in Aviate. Your second chance now has to be OTS.

I don’t see what the big deal is here. Don’t go in acting entitled to the job. Work your butt off to prepare for it like it’s the biggest day of your life. If you do that you will be fine. If you take it for granted you will not be successful. It is not a difficult concept.

The whole point of Aviate is to place pilots into a flow-like list before they have the experience. Experience has nothing to do with the interview. Flying 3 or 4 thousand hours does absolutely nothing to prepare you for TMAAT questions. If anything it will make you worse because of all the crappy advice you will hear during that time. And for the technical part memorizing a few profiles doesn’t take a whole lot of experience either. I will say doing the interview as early as while still in training could be a bad idea, but if you have even 100 hrs in the plane you have plenty of experience to pass this interview. Really just off of OE should be good enough.

I'm just off OE, and I'm having a really hard time coming up with stories for these TMAAT questions FWIW

Not how they’re doing it. I got an answer about 10 days after I interviewed.

They know you don’t have a lot of time in 121. Tell them stories from your previous work. They simply want to know how you have handled difficult situations in the past so they can gauge how you might handle those situations in the future. Don’t get caught up in the weeds.
