Which regional has best reserve rules? They all seem like 2 hour call out and some airport reserve (15 min). Some have long call reserve but it goes senior.
Can reserve days be dropped at some airlines? I don't care about not getting paid the hours for that day.
Who has shortest the reserve periods closest to Vegas? Ejet or CRJ?

From the guys at republic I’ve talked too it seems like they have pretty decent flexibility on reserve. It’s not gonna be great regardless.

This is the kind of info I am looking for. A friend at mesa was trying to sell me on being able to drop reserve days, but in IAH. I guess CRJ in phx is senior. So its looking more and more like skywest.

At Expressjet you fly all the time on reserve on the 145. On the 175 not as much but that is about to change when these last 9 airplanes go online by April 1. Ready reserve max 6 times per month for only 4 hrs. Can’t get it two days in a row or on your last day. So it’s mostly 2 hr short call. Very short reserve as well. Couple months max.
Also you have a chance to get the CJO with United on the front end. You can prep for your interview and get that done while on reserve. Worked for me. From CFI to right seat at United in 2.5 years won’t be half bad!
