How is Eagle with commuting? When on reserve do you have to sit at the airport??? I live in Virginia near Charlottesville where Eagle doesn't fly but have Dulles/Richmond all within 2 hour drive. How is MIA as a base? Where do those routes fly? Seems like a fun place to fly out of. If I decided to jump to the regionals, Eagle would be my first choice based on what I hear. Colgan is in my backyard, but not a big fan of the company. MIA just jumps out at me as a great base and a place I would like to fly from. Any info would be great! Thanks

Eagle has ATRs out of MIA, no ERJs, but from a couple buddies I know based here, it is a good place and they like it. Ellen I also had a paper route when I was a kid, it was a good money maker

Those bases are still the same. Commuting is no harder or easier than any other airline. We do have a nice commuter clause if you cant get in but you dont want to have to use it. The flying in the ATR bases is all out and backs and i think its the same with the saab in lax and dfw. We do have airport reserve usually 3 shifts for 8 hours a day. In SJU they are so short on FO's that they cant even get airport stand by and give our open trips to MIA guys. Im not sure how happy people are with the place. Most of the ne wer FO's like it, although two of the guys in my ATR class have already left. The younger captains have all been screwed by flowbacks and are really bitter about the company and are always b!%ch!ng but are really fun to fly with. Its a descent company and aside from the same crap you get at any airline I would say go for it.
