saab,

if those are the type of flights you guys are doing at expressjet, i feel sorry for ya, i just about kill myself on 2+ hour flights in the ERJ. Comment about the CRJ is a joke though, both airplanes make a porta-potty look large.

on the topic of flight attendants, their primary duty is to assist the passengers in an emergency, everything else is essentially "extras" good flight attendants will get the crew something to eat or drink, great ones load the passengers correctly so you don't have to have them move some. I've never gotten ****ed however if one didn't ask me what type of stuff i needed to pamper myself more, if i really want something, i just ask them for it.

Have her replaced at the next hub. I'm not kidding. If she will not cooperate, have her replaced. Now then, it is always best to stay on their good side. You never know what might end up in your coffee. BTW this is just one of the reasons it is nice to have more than one FA.

If it was that essential, why didn't you guys go fetch something else to drink yourselves...? call it a bathroom break and grab a can. It mustn't be another item they need to teach in indoc do they?

Training really makes you lose common sense huh?.... if it ain't in the book, we can't do it.

When was the last time you offered to grab the flight attendent's suit case down the stairway on a slippery night after it's been raining outside, just to make sure she doesn't slip on it...?

Once when I was an FO, we had the FA call during sterile cockpit while we were descending into PIT to tell us the temperature was too hot. Later on the ground, while I was doing the walkaround, the captain told her not to call during sterile cockpit with trivial things. When I got back in the airplane, they were having a full-scale shouting match.

She was an older FA with an attitude problem to begin with.

Define mainline flight. TUL-IAH is flown by mainline. Isn't that an Express flight? The only thing that makes a mainline flight a mainline flight is what airplane flies it.
