MESABA really doesn't need people like this. Go somewhere else. Please!

Ill second that. I keep hearing about these *********s at XJ who think they were "hand picked" to fly the jet. I've even heard there were guys like that back in the Avro days. I don't see the reason for ego. Lets just have fun and be safe out there.

it is almost like beggers can't be choosers.

low time guys complain cause they dont get to fly the jet with 500 hours?

come on, us young low time guys are pretty lucky to even have an opportunity to get to the 121 world this quick and easy.

I guess that is just one more spot for me to move up!!

did you guys decide what equip the aug 27 class has?

The vacancy notice for an Aug 27th class has not been posted yet. I would expect it next week sometime. Until that vacancy award comes out, the class size and equipment could change.

The July 30 class has:
8 MSP CR9
12 DTW CR9
8 DTW SF3
10 MEM SF3

The August 13 class has:
11 DTW SF3
8 MEM SF3

About one month prior (20-45 days typically). They come out usually on Friday, sometimes Monday so we may see it on the 23rd or the 27th. It will have anticipated class size and equipment on it. The Award for that vacancy will post 11ish days later, and the Award will contain the actual base openings that will be filled by New Hires. Basically, HR knows the class dates in advance and the likely equipment and ball-park class size. They cannot finalize the class list until the formal vacancy has been bid on and awarded to the current pilots.

These vacancies are posted on our internal website which you will not have access to until your first week of indoc training. I will try to post the details of the vacancy here when it comes out.

Just to clarify, this is NOT my view, only what I heard at my interview by other prospective Mesaba pilots.

An interesting note is that I was the only flight instructor there, everyone else was coming from another regional.

Good advice. I have been through 5 airlines, 1 furlough and no strikes yet, but I have 20 years to go so the night is still young. I have flown glass and round dials.

It doesn't matter what you fly, but how much they pay you to do it!

Have fun out there!
