Saab's paint is almost that old so should be fine for a few more years and bonus save on repaint!

I think most would agree we should (regionals) be still flying turboprops anyway. The general public likes the jet, so we got the 200...anything larger belongs to mainline. Althought I wouldn't so no to my job, in the end we're just screwing ourselves.

Waiting for the f word...

That was a hard post to read. Can you rewrite that in proper english? Not sure what your point was supposed to be.

Ha, might have been after a couple drinks on a long layover... Can ya blame me? Anyway, I'm well on my way to having my MBA. Some of us actually plan ahead for what the industry has to offer. I'm also willing to bet I have more time than atleast 50% of our FO's here at Mesaba (many of whom were hired with wet commercial tickets). I put my time in and built enough time for 135 mins and saw the hiring boom coming to a close. Sent resumes out like a mad man and was ecstatic to get picked up by Mesaba. Turns out timing's everything, not merit, brains, or stick and rudder skills. No, I'm not one who feels self entitled...just stating the facts. There's a lot of d-bags (both capts and fos) at every airline that are still employed for two reasons. SENIORITY AND UNION BAIL OUTS. Seniority's earned, so I'll let that slide. But come on, how many failed PCs and violations does it take to get canned around here? Thrustsetrj, we're all in the same boat and I promise I'll bust out the dictionary and thesaurus next time I'm on a drunken post fest. On second thought, I won't.

Anyway, I agree...the post was a mess. I would have chimed in and said the same thing, so harp on. We've all been there. Until next time, CHEERS! Good luck to all who are stuck at the bottom, I'm right there with ya!

Well the first F-U Friday came and went. Anyone care to guess when we will know who is being sent where in this latest Mesaba debacle?

I'm guessing we don't hear about voluntaries till August and nonvol's in September. The saabs don't start to go away till September so I doubt they will give us any info till it gets closer. I think they will continue to stay 100 or so overstaffed in the hopes that something comes our way and when it comes closer to September we'll hear something.
