I think if you're that sure about the new job, you should take it whether there is a voluntary or not. While I don't see the ball bouncing up again for a while, if you are that close to furlough you got to get a job when you can. A number of people left during the bankruptcy and were hired back. Granted they lost their seniority but they got a job back.

If the company and ALPA can come to an agreement about the MCB, there will be other voluntary's. They may not be when you need them.

Call one of the Chiefs, JM told me he has arranged LOAs for those that were able to find work before their furlough. Unfortunately I'm still hunting...Good luck!

Furloughs go back to Sep 08 2008 now. Including me.

Just curious why we don't get per diem during recurrent ground school if we live in base?

It just seems like we should still get per diem for the hours we are in class, just like a day trip. But I understand we are not "away from base". Oh well, not that it would be a lot of money anyway. Thanks.
