Hey Squawk, are you still in training? What is the average time for Saab training there these days: 6 weeks? 8? 10? etc....
Is there any down time between GS and Sims?
Are any guys having to go down to St. Louie, or is everyone staying in MSP?
Thanks, I'm trying to get a feel for how upgrade is going to go.

Still here. Schedule shows approx 6 weeks. Not sure about delays from end of GS to sim.....I do know the sims are running like 20 hrs a day. Only in my second week though so I don't know too much yet..........(getting ready for systems)

almost week four for me. ground school about a month and our schedules for sims have us done about 2 months after our start date (actually JUST short of two months.) Not more than a couple days or so from ground school to sims.
As for sims they are sending people to st. louis. The amount of new hires and capt. upgrades are just two much for two sims in eagan. Some people get to stay in eagan some people get to st.louis, some sim pairings are FO- FO or they are FO - CA. it all depends. Aparently they also have another sim lined up in Earth City, MO at flight safety. SO they are getting more sims opened down south.
Possible rumor of some extended time off between sims and IOE due to so many newhires compared to checkairmen. Not sure about that ,its just a rumor.

Do they have you spend the night in a hotel or just send you out for the day? Also, would it be possible to get MSP out of training? I dont care which airplane i just care about the base. Is there someone i can pm and bug the crap out of for up-date info? thanks.

If you get the 200/900 you might be able to hold MSP right away but probably not for the SAAB. There will be a few classes finished before you who want MSP and will get it before you so.....be patient. Right now they are telling us a few months at least to hold MSP for the SAAB. A buddy of mine who started the same time I did but in the 900 will hold MSP right out of training, as it stands right now.

It took me five days to get a call back. If they decide they want you, you should receive a call in the next day or so I would imagine. Good Luck!
