delta has a flow back for 500 pilots in exchange for 35 large RJs, but since it was to compass it remains to be seen how it would play out

It sounds like no seniority. Just a job at second year pay.

That is exactly what it is, and it only gets triggered if we furlough beyond January 2016. Any furloughed United pilot would be put on the list just like any other new hire, except at second year pay and they can’t be forced to resign their United seniority number. This was written when the norm was for the legacy to furlough and the regional to expand. Who the he!! Could have seen this one coming. This is just nuts.

It all depends on what is in a contract. Apparently Delta negotiated a limited flow back for some pilots in exchange for more rj’s. United doesn’t have flow back, just a requirement to hire furloughed United pilots at the bottom, but at 2nd year pay.

There is no flow back. The only thing in place is a requirement for any UAX carrier operating 70 or 76 seat jets to hire furloughed pilots as new hires but at second year pay. If those carriers are not hiring, it doesn’t really matter.

Republic has a clause in their contract to hire pilots back that left and now fly airplanes with more then like 86 seats or cargo over 100,000 lbs. you keep your seniority for a bit too.

They have to be hiring for it to Work which is not the case right now.
