I am very much in the same boat. It’s a job for me and the second I start working I am counting the minutes to get back home. I enjoy parts of it however all the nonsense you need to endure to complete the job sucks what little fun is left.
Maybe it will improve at mainline.

Seriously though most people don’t love every aspect of their job. Most jobs are just that, something you do for an income. I love flying, I hate the airline politics/management at the regional level. Too much bull****.
Don’t tell me you love
Airport sits
commuting
reserve
delays
rla
sitting for hours on end
Covid-19
managment
Do I stare up at the sky and ponder my existence as a 737 flys overhead, wishing every waking moment I was on the ground I was flying? No, I don’t.

Unfortunately “Liquor enthusiast” and “terrible Amateur woodworker” are not self sustaining career paths.

Now you do need to be able to be gone from home. If you (or your SO) can't deal with that, then this isn't for you, unless you find a niche part 91/135 job, or fly for Allegiant.

Yeah the most vocal complainers about QOL among the pilot ranks have typically never held real jobs outside of aviation. They tend to baseline their expectations on what life was like in the frat house.
